rental space: partial shelter house
Starts at $355
Choose 10:30am - 1:00pm or 2:00pm - 4:30pm. You’ll have a reserved section of the main shelter house, including nine picnic tables — all covered.
Includes gem mining (small bag) PLUS choose admission to either the petting zoo (with animal food), treasure hunt maze, or one round of mini-golf for up to 20 guests.

Olentangy Caverns operating hours changed to 10am - 6pm starting April 29, 2024. As we shift hours, some birthday parties have 10am and 1:30pm start times based on prior bookings. Your party start time will be confirmed during checkout.

We are not staffed to assist with party set-up / breakdown or hosting / managing birthday activities. Be sure to bring a few grown-ups to help manage your party crew.

Purchasing adult admission is required for cave tours and the petting zoo. Please keep a ratio of (1:5) — at least 1 adult for every 5 kids.
If you are not planning to pay for extra parents of party guests (beyond the required ratio), please communicate in advance so they arrive prepared to purchase their own tickets.

The enclosed shelter house and birthday party gazebo are the only spaces available to reserve.
You certainly could host a small party at one of the picnic tables on site — just be prepared that there won’t be a designated or reserved space for your party guests. All non-reservable areas are managed on a first come first served basis.

No, we are not staffed to offer party hosting. Our team will give you the purchased wrist bands / gem mining dirt, etc when you check in. You can manage the flow of your party’s activities from there!

Yes, you are free to bring party food and drinks. Please remember to bring plates / cups / utensils — anything you will need to host your party.
The enclosed room has a trash can and trash bags for clean up after your event.
